ITM Monitoring appoints new Project Manager
ITM has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Terry McSweeney as Project Manager.
In his new position, Terry will be the main point of contact between the client’s engineering team and ITM, working collaboratively throughout the construction programme and managing bespoke automated and manual monitoring systems which will provide the valuable data and insight required for the client to make informed decisions throughout construction works. Terry will be responsible for delivering ITM’s end-to-end monitoring services, from pre-planning, through to configuring and testing, supervising instrumentation installation, reporting and data visualisation.
Terry has over 40 years’ experience in land surveying and geospatial engineering and, prior to joining ITM, worked for Laing O’Rourke on the London Gateway Port Project, the Staffordshire Alliance Improvement Project and most recently as the Survey and Monitoring Manager for the Northern Line Extension Project.
Commenting on his appointment, Terry said: “ITM has a great reputation in the industry for delivering efficient, fit for purpose monitoring systems. I’ve built over 40 years’ experience in virtually every aspect of geospatial engineering, and I’m looking forward to bringing my skills and experience of using the latest technologies and techniques to ITM’s close-knit team, widening the scope of what ITM can provide to their clients and getting back to my roots of pure surveying.”
“Terry has a proven track record of designing and managing monitoring systems for large-scale construction projects, and we’re really pleased to welcome him to the Projects Team,” comments Dave Jones, Senior Project Manager. “His broad knowledge and experience of surveying is a fantastic addition to the team and of great value to our existing and potential new customers. Having just been acquired by the SOCOTEC group, Terry is joining the company at a very exciting time, and we’re all looking forward to working with him to further strengthen our offering to customers.”
