ITM Monitoring launches Asset Fit at The ICE Transport Asset Management Conference

25th November 2014

Today, ITM Monitoring is exhibiting at The Institute of Civil Engineers Transport Asset Management Conference in Westminster, showcasing Asset Fit, its unique Asset Monitoring service. Asset Fit is a remote infrastructure monitoring solution that uses a combination of technologies tailored to ‘fit’ the unique requirements of your asset: be it a straightforward incident alert through to a fully integrated solution as part of a wider asset management programme. To find out more about our service please download our new brochure here.

As well as introducing Asset Fit to delegates, the ITM Monitoring team is taking the opportunity to speak to key decision makers and strategists concerned with the management of the UK’s railway and highway infrastructure, and hearing presentations from high calibre speakers discussing the latest industry issues and trends.

So far today, the team has been busy speaking to senior representatives from the North Wales Trunk Road Agency, the Department for Transport, Translink, the Canal and River Trust and Network Rail, to name but a few. They have also enjoyed a presentation from Tim Kersley, Head of Asset Management Strategy at Network Rail, who commented that they are continually balancing cost/performance/risk in their approach to asset management.

Mike Gallop, Director Route Asset Management – Western Route, Network Rail, also delivered an excellent presentation about issues associated with the extreme weather last year, including how they dealt with the failure of the sea wall at Dawlish and how they are now using data more intelligently to make better informed decisions about the likely impact of extreme weather events on assets.

Nick Slater, Head of Asset Management at ITM Monitoring, comments: “We’re really pleased there has been such a great turnout with a very broad range of delegates. We’ve spoken to some great contacts and it’s fantastic to receive positive feedback on our new Asset Fit service, with everyone we have spoken to interested in what we have got to offer. We’re looking forward to following up with people after the conference and helping with their asset management requirements.”
