Commenting on his new role, Tom said: “Our Operations team is the face of ITM – they are the people that our clients get to know – so ensuring that they are well supported, well managed and have the resources and equipment they need to deliver a project efficiently is vital to client satisfaction. At ITM, we place huge importance on our reputation for delivering efficient, fit for purpose monitoring systems, and our clients like the fact that we’re easy to work with. As the company continues to grow, I’ll be responsible for further enhancing the service we provide.”

Tom, a graduate from Camborne School of Mines, has experience in the geotechnical monitoring industry and, prior to joining ITM as a Project Manager 18 months ago, worked as a consultant for Kier and East Sussex Highways. Here, Tom held the role of Consultant Engineer initially for Highways, then moved into a Business Process Manager role, where he was responsible for identifying pinch points within the business and ensuring that disparate teams worked together effectively by implementing new business processes.

Tom now brings his breadth of experience, versatility and hands-on approach to his new role as Operations Manager at ITM, where he’ll be responsible for ensuring that resources and equipment are used efficiently, creating new processes to streamline project delivery and reporting, and enabling the Operations department to continue to work together as a cohesive team as the company grows further.

His commitment to ensuring that jobs are completed to the highest standards is an attribute of great value to our customers, and one which will prove vital in his role as Site Technician.
