In many cases, monitoring campaigns can last a number of years and it is therefore imperative that a sensible and robust maintenance scheme is defined right at the start of the project during the design phase. During this process, various parameters should be considered such as instrument calibration periods, cleaning requirements, battery exchanges and interactions with the natural environment. ITM Monitoring can assist in defining a suitable maintenance strategy that will maximise data availability and minimise the possibility of false alarms.

In addition to defining planned maintenance programmes, ITM Monitoring’s unique ‘Active Support’ service ensures that we are always aware of any issues as they develop. Through our experienced Monitoring Engineers, we can carry out daily checks on all of your automated data acquisition systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and to provide information to support reactive maintenance work.

Your data is available to view online by multiple users on any computer or mobile device.

NEVER LOSE YOUR DATA – BACK-UP AND ARCHIVING

Your data is automatically backed-up and archived daily at a secure offsite location. If required, your data can be stored at any other location of your choice.

ONLINE KNOWLEDGE BASE AND SUPPORT FORUM

Our extensive knowledge base and support forum gives you 24/7 access to expert advice.

SOFTWARE UPDATES 

Software updates and patches are made without disruption to service.

ONLINE HELPDESK

Your package includes full support via email, phone and screen sharing. If required, we also provide a 24/7 out-of-hours support service.

SYSTEM CHECK 

We continuously check all incoming data from your monitoring system and resolve any issues as they arise. We also send you a weekly system report.

DATA CHECK

Our Active Support team will perform daily remote checks on data logger/sensor combinations, to assess if data is constant. This will highlight any issues with individual sensors on site.

MAINTENANCE PLANNING 

We continually monitor your maintenance requirements and advise you well in advance of any work that may need to be carried out.

ACTIVE INCIDENT SUPPORT

If an alarm notification is dispatched from your monitoring system, we will analyse it to establish its level of priority and advise you of any action that may be required.


At ITM Monitoring, we are often asked to carry out audits on monitoring systems that are already in situ to establish whether they continue to be fit for purpose or could be enhanced. It might be that these systems were installed many years ago (either by ourselves or others) and following a period of inactivity, have fallen into disrepair or that there are concerns that the data could be unreliable.
